What is the connection between the ABF in Britain and the ABF
in America?
ABF America is the charity’s chapter in the United States.
The monies raised in he U.S.. are sent to the charity’s
parent in the U.K. Recognizing that an increasing number of donations
to the Army Benevolent Fund were coming each year from the United
States, ABF set up an alliance with CAFAmerica to make it more
tax efficient and more convenient for Americans to make those
contributions.
What is CAFAmerica?
“Committed to effective giving” is the slogan of CAFAmerica, and the organization has been assisting individuals,
foundations and corporations with cross-border giving since 1993.
It is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable
organization. Thus donors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed
by law for their contributions. CAFAmerica thoroughly reviews
all recipient charities to ensure compliance with U.S. laws governing
international grant making and the use of funds for charitable
purposes.
How does CAFAmerica work on behalf of ABF?
All U.S. donors wishing to support the British Army Benevolent
Fund America may make donations using the CAFAmerica gift form,
which can be obtained from an ABF representative or downloaded
from the CAFAmerica website: www.cafamerica.org.
What are some examples of the help ABF provides?
